Privacy Policy of the ZSU Law Firms
I. Purpose of the Document
This Privacy Policy has been prepared to outline the principles of processing your personal data and to inform you of your basic rights related to the processing of your data by the ZSU Law Firm.
II. Personal Data Controller
The controller of your personal data is the ZSU Law Firm, headquartered in Rybnik (44-200), at 14 Wodzisławska Street. Personal data is processed in accordance with data protection laws, particularly Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 ("GDPR") and the Polish Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018. The Firm takes all necessary measures to protect this data from unauthorized access and to ensure its confidentiality.

IV. Scope and Purposes of Personal Data Processing
Personal data at the ZSU Law Firm is processed for the following purposes:
a. based on the legitimate interest of the controller – to provide services to clients, market services, inform about events and activities of the Firm (e.g., via newsletters), conduct analyses and statistics, and ensure IT security of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR);
b. in connection with the performance of contracts concluded with clients and cooperation with business partners and service providers (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
c. for the purpose of recruitment processes for employment or cooperation (Article 6(1)(a) and (c) GDPR);
d. the ZSU Law Firm also processes personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill legal obligations under applicable laws (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
V. Rights of Data Subjects
While providing personal data is voluntary, in certain situations its absence or removal may hinder communication, service delivery, or the provision of information. Personal data processed in the course of legal services is governed by contractual provisions or general terms of cooperation.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
access your personal data,
rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data,
data portability,
object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes,
withdraw consent at any time – without affecting the lawfulness of processing before its withdrawal.
Please note that some of the above rights may not apply to data processed as part of legal service provision.
VI. Complaint to the Supervisory Authority
If you have any concerns regarding the processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO).
VII. Data Retention Period
Personal data will be retained:
until the purposes for which the data was collected have been achieved,
until the expiry of statutory limitation periods,
until an objection to processing for marketing purposes is raised,
or until consent is withdrawn – in the case of data processed on that basis.
Newsletters and other marketing content will be sent until the recipient expresses an objection.
VIII. Sharing of Personal Data
Personal data may be shared with:
entities cooperating with the Firm, including IT service providers, marketing agencies, accounting, auditing, or legal service providers,
law firms and experts cooperating with ZSU,
public administration bodies, courts, and state authorities – as required by law.
All entities to whom data processing is entrusted are obligated to maintain confidentiality and act in accordance with applicable law.
Personal data is processed exclusively within the European Union. If data needs to be transferred to third countries, the Firm will ensure appropriate safeguards in accordance with the GDPR.
IX. No Profiling
Your personal data is not subject to automated decision-making or profiling.
X. Changes to the Privacy Policy
Any future changes to this Privacy Policy will be published on the Firm’s website and will apply only from the time of publication. In the case of significant changes, an appropriate notification will appear in the form of a pop-up window. Please check for updates regularly.
XI. Effective Date
May 18, 2025
